Fanuc Alarm PS449: Illegal Tool Life Data

Description

This alarm occurs when there is a technical error in the Tool Life Management data in the machine control system or the specified life limit for a particular tool in the system has expired.

The main causes of this problem include incorrect configuration of tool groups, exceeding the tool life value, or data corruption in memory.

How to Fix Alarm

If the alarm occurs during program execution, inspect your G10 L3 (registering tool group) and G10 L3 P_ Q_ blocks for typos.

Ensure your parameters for “Maximum Number of Tool Groups” match the amount of data you are trying to input.
